BillSoft® Announces EZTax® Ported to the IBM S/390 Mainframe Platform
Lenexa, KS, February 9, 2004: BillSoft, Inc.,
the leader for taxation solutions, announced today that it has
completed the port of its EZTax product to the IBM S/390 Mainframe running
MVS/zOS. “We have had an enormous request for EZTax on a mainframe platform. Our
tier one clients are pleased that we can support them on this platform,” said
Vicki Klein, president of BillSoft. “The IBM mainframe hosts numerous
telecommunications billing systems, and enjoys a well-established history in the
telecommunications industry.”
EZTax processes taxes for long
distance services, prepaid/debit/calling cards, data services, internet usage,
wireless services, voice mail, paging, fax, local services, shipping, cable and
satellite television, and product sales and use, among others. BillSoft provides
monthly updates for its EZTax product that includes both data and
software.
With the completion of this port, EZTax is available for
the IBM S/390 MVS/zOS Mainframe, IBM AS/400, Hewlett Packard's HPUX (32 and 64
bit), Data General's DGUX, SCO UNIX, Intel Linux, Sun Solaris (32 and 64 bit),
IBM RS/6000 AIX, Bull Escala AIX and Windows NT/2000/2003 environments.
